Priority Registration Drawings (Lottery)

Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) has announced that it will start accepting priority registration drawings (lottery) application from September 14th, 2026 to September 25th, 2026. During this time, ABC also accepts inter-county transfers of Type 47 – On Sale General and Type 21 – Off Sale General Licenses. Additionally, the drawing will be held in the week of October 26th, 2026.

Although ABC issues Type 41 – Beer and Wine Licenses year round for restaurants , Type 47 – On Sale General Eating Place Licenses for Restaurants allow individuals or organization for retail sales of beer, wine and distilled spirits. Additionally, these general licenses are only available during this time, once a year and is also based on county allotment.

Similarly, Type 21 – Off Sale General License issued to retail stores such as liquor stores, general stores, gas stations, convenience stores etc. allow individuals or organization for retail sales for beer, wine and distilled spirits.

Its is essential that the application is filled out correctly otherwise, ABC may disqualify an applicant from the lottery.
